Dr Emmanuel Alloa (University of St. Gallen, Switzerland) – Transparentism: The end of critique

Emmanuel Alloa discusses the ideal of transparency and its civilizing promises. He argues that the notion of potential surveillance suffices for it to be effective: disciplinary measures are being replaced by self-discipline. Transparentism raises the spectre of the end of critique.
