Jeff Widener – Tiananmen Square and Beyond – Conflict Photography in Asia, 1987-1995 – V2

Jeff Widener is internationally renowned for his work at the Tiananmen Square protest and massacre in 1989, including the most iconic photograph of the last decades of the twentieth century: ‘The Tank Man.’ However, Jeff was the Associated Press Southeast Asia Picture Editor 1987-1995, based in Bangkok, Thailand, and Tiananmen Square was only one of many civil and armed conflicts he covered during the period.
