Professor Andrew Benjamin (LGS, Kingston) – The Ends of Speculation

The term ‘speculation’ and the thinking of the speculative keeps appearing in the wake of Kant. It is at its most insistent in Hegel’s Difference Essay. The aim of this paper will tolocate Rose’s use of term within the Hegelian tradition. If it can be argued that there are limits to Hegel’s own continuity then they can be located in the end of speculation.
