Professor Wang Hui (Tsinghua University, Beijing) –The Decline of Representation 

This is the second of two lectures being given by Wang Hui, professor of intellectual history at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Sent for compulsory “re-education” for his role in the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, Wang is a leading member of China’s “new left” movement and a past editor of Dushu, one of China’s most influential literary journals. His most recent book is The End of the Revolution: China and the Limits of Modernity
