Dr Elizabeth Williams (Goldsmiths) – “We can never be free in Brent until South Africa is free…today Brent South, tomorrow Soweto!”:  Reflections on Black British solidarity

Dr Elizabeth Williams is an academic librarian, and an independent scholar and lecturer. She current works at Goldsmiths University of London in both capacities and travels frequently to South Africa. Her monograph  The Politics of Race in Britain and South Africa: Black British Solidarity and the Anti-Apartheid Struggle (IB Tauris, 2015) was published in 2015.
