HARC Making Space for Art Lecture Series

Jannet de Goede (Curator, Kröller-Müller Museum) – For the Benefit and the Pleasure of the Community

The Kröller-Müller Museum, situated in the largest nature park in the Netherlands, provides space for art in an exceptional setting. The building, its location, the collection and how the art is presented inside and outside the museum are inseparably linked with the ideas of the founder, Helene Kröller-Müller, and the directors who succeeded her after her death in 1939. The talk charts the history of the museum, the park and the collection to show how the works are given a unique space.
